A very special vintage 1951 Fender Precision Bass. Feast your eyes on the ultimate road warrior Fender bass from 1951. It's been crudely refinished and modified a long time ago but it has a cool factor that's off the charts. It's a truly historic instrument for anyone who loves the blues, especially Chicago blues from the 50s and 60s. This bass was played and can be seen in a photo on the back cover of Howlin' Wolf's "Live and Cookin' at Alice's Revisited".
In Fair overall condition considering the age and historical usage of the bass in the Chicago blues scene. The original electronics are present but not functional, however, the bass comes with a new Lindy Fralin '51 P-Bass Hum-Cancelling pickup along with new wiring, Mojotone pots, and Orange Drop caps. We're not installing the new electronics in case the new owner might prefer a different replacement or might want to attempt having the original pickup rewound.
