Up for sale is an amazing sounding 1966 Martin D-28 in its original and nicely patina'd natural finish. This model features a Sitka spruce top w/ beautifully figured Brazilian rosewood back and sides, ebony bridge and fingerboard and Pat Pending Grover tuners. The tone on this guitar is massive and it easily is one of the nicest sounding Martins in the store right now. Brilliant highs with big boomy lows. The serial number on this guitar (210553) puts it at the middle of 1966 and therefore it shares the same specs as a 1965 model.
There is an endpin jack installed but there is no pickup in the guitar, there is also a filled input jack hole to the right of the existing end pin. The bridge / saddle have been replaced with a correct size and style. The bridge plate is original. There is a hairline crack on the back of the body which has been repaired and there are a few small spots of finish touch up located near the sound-hole which is covering pick wear on the bass side of the hole. Overall this is a nice vintage D-28 from a desirable era of Martin instruments. Pro setup In house and comes complete with a non original hard case.
