It's the 1970s all over again thanks to Gibson. It was during this period that Les Pauls, after a brief hiatus, ascended to full rock and roll stardom. Many people, then and now, felt that heavy solid body guitars offered the ultimate sustain and tone, and the 1970s was certainly a time when heavy guitars were the standard. This Les Paul carries on the spirit of those guitars with a weight of 10 1/2 pounds. See SPECS below for more details.
Freshly set up in-house by our skilled Guitar Tech, this Paul is dialed in and ready to rock. Comes with original hard shell case.
First released in 1969, the Deluxe saw the introduction of the Mini Humbucker™ to the Les Paul™ lineup. Mini Humbuckers retain the hum-free performance of their full-sized cousins but with a somewhat clearer and brighter tonality. The new Deluxe has features that were inspired by those early models from the 1970s, with a non-weight relief mahogany body and bound maple top, a bound mahogany neck with a Rounded C profile, vintage-style Keystone tuners, a Graph Tech® nut, and a traditional Les Paul control layout with 2 Volume and 2 Tone controls hand-wired with Orange Drop® capacitors.
