Hand-wired in the U.S., this Morgan Dual 20 is a high quality amp that can deliver the sonic goods. This particular amp can go from stage levels to bedroom levels without losing that signature tone you love. It goes from 20 watts all the way down to 1/4 watt. Read below for more details on features and performance.
The Blue Tolex on this amp really knocks us out. It's so cool. The amp and cabinet have normal wear and tear on the Tolex plus some staining on the top of the cabinet from the rubber feet of the amplifier. The staining is not visible when the amplifier is sitting on top of the cabinet.
FROM MORGAN AMPS:
The Morgan DUAL 20 combines the original “AC 20 Deluxe” and “Abbey” into one package. Two separate channels, each recreate all the features of the originals. Use any A/B/Y footswitch to change between, or even combine, channels.
The DUAL 20s NORMAL channel has a switchable EF86 tube, voicing the range of tones from the cleanest of EL84 chime to ferocious high gain growl. A Bass Cut and a Bright switch allow you to completely sculpt your tone. The DUAL 20s TOP BOOST channel adds bass and treble controls as well as an extra stage of gain. This channel is perfect for capturing Tom Petty and Beatles tones. The DUAL 20 uses a global CUT control to smooth the top end in the power section of the amp, allowing you to dial in just the right amount of chime.
The DUAL 20 features Morgan’s revolutionary Power Level control which is a big part of the magic of this amplifier. Many guitarists today have spent large sums of time and money working on their pedal boards. Most pedals are not designed to be used with a tube amp on “1”, but rather to interact with an amplifier at, or near, the point at which it begins to break up. Most conventional master volumes affect the way your pedals interact with your amp. Morgan’s Power Level control behaves like a zoom lens, limiting the size of the output signal that can be produced by the output tubes. It does NOT choke the signal down, and therefore, the amp behaves identically to running at full volume. This means that you can choose the power that you need from a ¼ of a watt to 20 watts.
