Up for sale is an incredibly cool 1960 / 1959 Fender Jazzmaster in a wicked Black refin. This guitar has a handful of changes so please read on. The guitar itself (body, neck, parts, neck plate) is a 1960 Jazzmaster that someone installed an entire 1958 anodized pickguard, wiring harness and pickup set on. This includes a set of black bobbin pickups, pots and wiring dating to 1958. The neck is pencil dated "7-60" and the neck features a slab Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with clay dots. The bridge thimbles are tall and the tremolo unit is "Pant Pending" which are both early features of the Jazzmaster model. The tremolo collet, spring and tremolo arm are replaced. The tuners are modern repros and there are filled screw holes on the back of the headstock. There is a filled screw hole from an additional string tree. The neck appears to have old over-spray on it however the decal is original. The guitar has been refretted with larger fret-wire (jumbo or med jumbo) and a new nut has been installed. This is a really cool vintage Jazzmaster with most of the features of a '58 or '59. Pro setup in house and comes complete with a non original hard case. Weight: 8lbs. 2oz.
