Description

This 1920s J.R. Stewart Le Domino Banjolele is a sweet and special piece of music history! Le Domino instruments were produced by the J.R. Stewart company in Chicago in the late 1920s and early 1930s before Regal obtained the Le Domino line later in the 30s. This particular guitar was made by J.R. Stewart before Regal took over production.

Not only is this a historical treasure, it's also the coolest banjolele you'll ever see! The black finish with domino decals give this instrument a very signature look. Keen-eyed players and collectors will notice that the dots on the domino fingerboard inlays add up to the corresponding fret numbers. This is the kind of attention to detail that has allowed these Le Dominos to stand the test of time and remain beloved instruments for over a hundred years.

Freshly inspected and set up in-house by our esteemed Guitar Tech. In Excellent Vintage condition with moderate wear for an instrument of this age, including some scratches, nicks, and natural aging of parts and finish. See below for more details and specifications.

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.

We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us to ask any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
