One of Gibson's very first flat top guitars, the L-1's lush, warm tone has made it a legendary blues guitar and a favorite of Robert Johnson. Over the course of its nearly 100 years of life, this vintage treasure has received some care in the form of a neck reset, a new transverse graft brace above the sound hole, and a glued side crack. It's in stunning condition for its age and is all-original with the exception of a refret and a new bone saddle. This beautiful piece of Gibson history will even go home with you in its original hard shell case.
Freshly inspected and set up in-house by our esteemed Guitar Tech. In Very Good Vintage condition with normal wear for an instrument of this age, including scratches, natural fading of finish, and other signs of normal aging and use. See below for more details and specifications.

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us to ask any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
