This is a lovely vintage Kalamazoo Oriole in Fair Vintage condition. There's no doubt it's played thousands of songs and been a key part of many cherished musical moments over its 80 or so years of life, and it will continue to do so. However, it does show its age in the form of some significant wear and structural damage, so we are offering it as-is. 

This mandolin has had some repairs and a neck reset that we suspect were not done by a professional. The back has begun to separate from the body over the years, with glue and an added bracket on the butt end helping it stay together. There is also a large crack on the back that has been cleated. The tortoise celluloid pickguard is beginning to deteriorate, and the underside of the bridge has been shimmed. Despite its wear, this mandolin offers a great opportunity to own a genuine Kalamazoo Oriole at a lower-than-average price.
