Up for sale is a killer and fairly clean 1940's Kalamazoo KGN-12 Oriole in its original natural finish. This is easily one of the coolest and most collectible Kalamazoo built instruments and this example sounds great and plays well. The tuners are not original to the guitar but the originals are included w/ crumpled buttons. There are no back or side cracks but there is a center seam hairline crack on and a small crack area along the bass side of the pickguard. The action is decent and measures 3.5mm on the bass side and 2.5mm on the treble. The saddle is about as low as it will go and thus if lower action is desired a neck reset would be in order. As it sits the guitar plays well and is comfortable. There is a very, very slight lift to the bridge but not enough to get a business card underneath. It appears stable. All in all this is a wonderful nearly 90 year old Gibson built guitar. This instrument has been set up in-house, and comes with a hardshell case.
