Description

Out of the owner's personal stash! Up for sale is an incredibly cool 1941 Gibson built / Kalamazoo branded KGN-12 small boded acoustic guitar in its original natural finish. This model has the same model size as an L-00 from the same era with slightly different construction with ladder body bracing instead of X bracing. This example features a spruce top w/ maple back and sides, tortoise binding and a fire-stripe pick guard. It sounds quite lovely. The neck was reset / new bone saddle installed around 5 years ago and the guitar plays well with low action. The original frets do show some wear as to be expected but nothing that hinders the playability with the exception of a buzz at the 11th fret. This one shows a decent amount of cosmetic finish wear, play wear, neck wear, etc etc etc. There is a sizable area of finish and wood wear on the back of the neck. About what you would expect from an 80 year old instrument. I absolutely love this guitar and believe if you're a fan of 40s era Kalamazoos you will too. Comes with non original hardshell case
