Description

Inspected by our esteemed Guitar Tech who reports that the recent work done on this LG-2 at Glaser Instruments of Nashville, not surprisingly, is of stellar quality and has transformed this vintage classic into the guitar it was always meant to be.  Glaser performed a re-fret, PLEK, loose brace re-glue, top crack glue and cleat, new bone nut, bridgeplate replacement, and a full setup.  Now in Very Good to Excellent vintage condition.

This 1942 Banner LG-2 sounds truly magnificent and plays beautifully.  If you've always wanted a Banner Gibson, this is your chance to snag a really great one.  Old Script Logo with "Only a Gibson is Good Enough" headstock banner in Excellent condition.  Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard.  1 3/4" nut width.  Typical '40s neck profile--big and round---but playable for most people.  Comes with a chipboard case.  See below for more details and specifications.

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings.  Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so.  We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument.  Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.

We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear.  If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have.  Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
