Description

Up for sale is a super cool / single family owned 1956 Gibson Les Paul Special Single Cut in its original TV Yellow finish. I have named this guitar "Chip" and if you dig through our photos you will see why. This instrument came from the grandson of the original owner and overall is a lovely vintage LP Special. There are no modifications to this guitar with the exception of the tuners which were replaced with modern Kluson style repros. The originals are included with shrunken / broken buttons. Wiring harness is completely stock with pots coded 134622 and 134621 dating to the 21st and 22nd week of 1956. Aside from the chip on the treble side of the headstock this instrument is in great condition and would make an excellent addition to your collection!

Pro Setup in house and ships with its original Alligator style soft case.

Weight: 7lbs. 10oz.

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.

We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
