Up for sale is a super cool and fairly early 1961 Epiphone Sorrento E452T in its original Royal Olive finish. Bikini logo, slim neck profile, nickel hardware and a single original mini-humbucker that absolutely screams. Dot inlays on a Brazilian fingerboard and an comfortable full 1 11/16th” nut width. This instrument has some replaced parts such as the wiring harness, pickup ring, tuners, strap buttons, truss rod cover and knobs. This guitar came to us with a snapped truss rod nut and thus a Stew Mac truss rod rescue has been used to remove wood and expose more of the rod get a new nut on it. The rod is now fully functional. That said, the neck angle isn't ideal and thus the action is on the medium side from the middle of the neck up. The first five positions are comfortable otherwise the action is medium / higher. The finish is in good shape and overall this one is fairly clean. Comes complete with a super worn, beat, weathered period correct hard case. Weight: 5lbs. 1oz.
