Description

Freshly inspected and set up in-house by our esteemed Guitar Tech.  In Excellent Vintage condition with very modest wear for an instrument of this age, including light scratches, minor dings, and natural aging of parts and finish.  Double bound body and F-holes.  Nice and light at 7 pounds 13 ounces.  An all original instrument in a newer hard shell case.

This beautiful guitar could serve as a model for Murphy Lab ultra light aged finishes.  But as great as Murphy Lab finishes are, though, this is the real thing and that makes our hearts go pitter pat.  One of the truly iconic Gibson models, too.  Whether you're a player, a collector, or hopefully both, this is the one you want.  See below for more details and specifications.

ABOUT TRINI LOPEZ:

Trini Lopez was a Mexican-American singer, guitarist, and entertainer who rose to fame in the 1960s with hits like "If I Had a Hammer" and "Lemon Tree," blending folk, pop, and his signature "Trini beat" strumming style.  Born Trinidad Lopez III in Dallas, Texas, in 1937, he gained prominence after being discovered by Frank Sinatra and became a top-selling artist during the folk boom. Lopez performed energetically with a three-piece band and used Gibson guitars to define his sound, recording over 50 albums.

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings.  Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so.  We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument.  Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.

We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear.  If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us to ask any questions you may have.  Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
