Description

Designed in collaboration between Gretsch and Chet Atkins, the Country Gentleman has risen to icon status since its initial release in the late 1950s. This legendary hollow body features dual Filter'tron pickups, a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, a flip-up mute, and the signature painted f-holes to reduce feedback. As is sometimes the case with vintage Gretsch guitars, the celluloid binding is facing some off-gassing and shrinkage in multiple areas including the neck and body joint and the base of the body on the treble side, and there's a bit of separation at the treble cutaway. This guitar is otherwise in quite good condition for its age with all of its original parts, and has had a fresh neck reset from our friends at Portland Fret Works.

Freshly inspected and set up in-house by our esteemed Guitar Tech. In Good Vintage condition with moderate wear for an instrument of this age, including aging of parts and finish, scratches, and some deterioration, shrinkage, and separation of binding.
