Up for sale is a killer player's grade 1978 Gibson Les Paul Standard in its original natural finish. This example has had a few changes in its life which include filled holes behind the nut for a locking nut or string tree at some point, the finish removed from the back of the neck, a replaced nut, replaced strap buttons and finish indentations near the bridge and tailpiece indicating the guitar had a different tailpiece or bridge installed at some point. There is no finish touch up or filled wood in this area. The neck pickup cavity has some odd chipping / minor routing inside the original cavity and the bridge cavity has been shielded. These things aside, this guitar is stock n sweet, including the pickups which are dated to Oct 1978. Pro setup in house and comes complete with a modern Gibson Custom Shop hard case (some exterior wear on the case). Weight: 9lbs. 15oz.
NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
