Up for sale is a 1984 Gibson Designer Series Union Jack Explorer.
Dang.
This is a wild one. We have seen a few of these over the years years but never one this clean. Granted the instrument does have a few small nicks and dings (please see our photos for a complete cosmetic rundown) but overall it's in very good condition. As expected over the years there is some visible checking on the graphic but this is to be expected. This one has factory original dirty fingers pickups, wiring harness, and an original Gibson Kahler. The original owner never filled out the warranty card which is present along with some fun bits of case candy including the tremolo arm and the original plastic sleeve for the bar and Allen wrenches. These were highly limited when they were made and there is an argument this is one of the nicest ones to surface recently. Don't miss out!
Pro Setup in house and complete with its original hardshell case. Weight: 8lbs. 4oz.
NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
