Up for sale is 1988 Gibson U2 in its original black finish. The U2 model was one of Gibson's attempts at competing with companies like Charvel and Jackson in the mid to late 1980s and although this model does share some resemblance to those brands it truly has a vibe and feel all its own. This particular guitar is being sold as a project, non functional and 100% as is. Read below to find out why. Weight: 7lbs. 7oz.

The good: This is a one owner guitar that overall is in good cosmetic condition showing lots of finish checking, some play wear and some signs of finish wear. The guitar is entirely original, comes with its original hard case and original hang tags. 

The bad: The factory installed Steinberger tremolo is non functional, broken and needs to either be repaired or replaced. The studs on the unit are leaning forward which is a common issue with this model. Currently the strings have no tension on them nor can withstand tension. As previously noted, this is a project and is sold as such. No returns or exchanges.
