ABOUT DANNY FERRINGTON:

Danny Ferrington is a renowned American luthier known for crafting custom guitars for music legends. He builds both acoustic and electric instruments entirely by hand, emphasizing musical tone over perfectionist details.  Born and raised in rural Louisiana, Ferrington learned woodworking from his cabinet-maker father. He apprenticed in Nashville in the mid-1970s before moving to Los Angeles.

Ferrington produced guitars for Kramer in the late 1980s, including models like the KFS Strat-style and KFT Tele-style with signature binding and shark-tooth inlays. A 1992 coffee-table book, Ferrington Guitars, showcased his work and inspired collectors. His instruments have been played by George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Kurt Cobain (custom Mustang), Johnny Cash, Pete Townshend, Keith Richards, Ry Cooder, Richard Thompson, and even Tom Hanks (mandolin).

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings.  Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so.  We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument.  Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.

We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear.  If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us to ask any questions you may have.  Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
