"For those about to rock, we salute you" -Brian Johnson
These are one of my favorite reissues from Gibson Custom! The previous owner did some modifications on this one so buckle up! The original pickups (which are included) have been swapped for a set of Virgil Arlo 1961 pickups and they sound great! The bumblebee capacitors have been swapped and the originals are included. The bridge and tailpiece were swapped for a Faber bridge and tailpiece. Both the original ABR-1 and Tailpiece are included along with the studs for the tailpiece, the wheels for the ABR one are not included. The original tuning machines were swapped for a set of Kluson Supreme tuners, the originals are included and will ship along with the instrument. Cosmetically this one comes to us in good condition. There is checking present across most of the finish, in addition there are a few small spots on the back of the neck where some lacquer has flaked off. Real life Road worn baby! There are also scattered nicks and dings on the instrument as well. For a complete cosmetic rundown please see our photos. The frets look great and have lots of life left in them. Anyone looking to channel their inner Angus should consider this one!
Pro setup in house and ships with its original hardshell case, paperwork and Certificate.
NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
