Just about every look on the market functions exactly like the 360 looper. Press once to start recording, press again to close the loop (it will begin playing what you've just recorded). If you'd like add overdubs just hit the footswitch again. Double click the footswitch to stop the loop and double click and hold the second click to erase it.
For those new to looping the trick is to close the loop on the down beat of your phrase, which is to say if you're recording a single 4/4 measure when you press record that will be the 1st beat, wait 2, 3, 4 then when you hear the 1st beat of that next measure hit the footswitch again to get a nice clean 4 beat measure captured. This does take a little time to master.
Specifications! The Nano Looper records at the highest audio quality available for a loopers, uncompressed 24-bit A/D/A and 44.1kHz sample rate. It has 6 minutes of save time with 11 banks to save too. Most loopers at this price point only have 1 bank. This is really usefully for saving different backing tracks for practice or nice interludes live. You can either use the whole 6 minutes on one long bank or divide it up how you wish 30 seconds on the first bank 1 minute 30 seconds the next until you use up 6 minutes.
