ABOUT 17TH STREET GUITARS:

17th Street Guitars was a short-lived custom guitar manufacturer active around 2004-2005 in the Venice/Santa Monica area of California. The venture involved a small team collaborating with renowned luthier John Carruthers, who hand-built all instruments at his Venice shop, producing only about 21 guitars total. These guitars featured high-end designs blending modern playability with classic tones.  Instruments emphasized premium craftsmanship, lightweight construction, and superior balance.

ABOUT TRS PRO LOCKING VIBRATO BRIDGES:

TRS Pro locking vibrato bridges are high-quality, licensed Floyd Rose-style double-locking tremolo systems manufactured in Japan by Takeuchi. These bridges use knife-edge pivots for smooth action and locking saddles plus a locking nut for tuning stability during aggressive whammy bar use. They support extensive pitch range, including dive bombs and pull-ups, with fine tuners and adjustable arm tension via a socket screw.  String changes require cutting ball ends, locking at saddle and nut, and tuning one string at a time to maintain balance against rear springs.

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings.  Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so.  We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument.  Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.

We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear.  If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us to ask any questions you may have.  Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
