Description

Up for sale is a cool and rare 1970s Memphis EL-300 L5 / Super 400 archtop copy electric guitar in its original amber sunburst finish. This top of the line made in Japan instrument is one of the absolute nicest MIJ instruments we’ve seen and truly feels, sounds, and looks the part. Hand Crafted by master Japanese luthiers from the Ibanez Hoshino factory in Matsumoku Japan, this instrument features a set neck design, 17-inch lower bout, dual humbuckers, fret edge binding nibs (just like a Gibson), gold hardware and appointments, Sitka Spruce top, maple back and sides, and a very nice triple binding throughout all around body and neck. The previous owner also swapped the pickups to Lollar Imperial hum buckers which we think was a sweet upgrade. Weight: 8lbs. 5oz.

Pro Setup in house and ships with a non original hardshell case

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings.  Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so.  We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument.  Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.

We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear.  If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have.  Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
